Shenandoah University (Foreign Languages - Program)
The Department of Foreign Languages includes English as a Second Language and Modern Foreign languages: French, German, Italian and Spanish and Turkish. Students learn to speak and understand another language and to connect with another culture. We have links with study abroad programs and service learning opportunities among speakers of other languages in our own community. Language students often participate in mission trips abroad during spring break. Our many international students on campus share the culture of their home countries We offer a Certificate in English as a Second Language, a minor in French, a major in Spanish and a Certificate in Spanish with a Specialization in Interpreting.
